Batteries
The delivery content of many devices are batteries, which are used for the operation of remote controls etc. In devices it´s possible that batteries are permanently installed. In connection with the sale of batteries we have to inform you (BattG) that:

Batteries do not belong in your household waste and must not be disposed of in this way. Rather, you are legally obliged to return as end-users waste batteries, so proper disposal of their old batteries can be guaranteed.

You can return your waste batteries either prepaid, to us, or you can give them directly to our personal in our warehouse at the following address free of charge

WilTec Wildanger Technik GmbH
Königsbenden 28
D-52249 Eschweiler

Our take-back obligation is limited to those batteries that we sell in our range as new batteries or have sold.

Batteries are marked with the symbol of a "crossed-out wheelie bin '(similar to diagram below). For batteries which containing more than 0.0005% of mercury, more than 0.002 % of cadmium or more than 0.004% of lead, the chemical symbol of the pollutant substance is located below the wheeled bin symbol – for example  "Cd" for cadmium, "Pb " for lead and" Hg "for mercury.

Note on Lithium batteries / rechargeable batteries:

The returned lithium batteries or accumulators please isolate the “+” and “-“ contact of the battery for example with adhesive tape to avoid any risk of fire.

Equipment, electronic scrap

According to the Electrical and Electronic Equipment law (WEEE) devices may no longer be disposed of in household waste since March 2006.Electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) contains materials, components and substances that may be hazardous and present a risk to human health and the environment when waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) is not handled correctly.

Equipment marked with the above crossed-out wheeled bin is electrical and electronic equipment. The crossed-out wheeled bin symbol indicates that waste electrical and electronic equipment should not be discarded together with unseparated household waste, but must be collected separately.

We offer you a take back service, we  take back your old WEEE if you buy a version of the same item, you can send us the old item by mail and we will handle its disposal, but the devices can be given back free of charge for example by your collection points in your city or town, also.

Procedure in case of lamp breakage

CFLs (Compact Fluorescent Lamps), fluorescent and halogen-metal halide lamps contain a very small amount of mercury. In normal use, these bulbs are not dangerous. Should such a lamp be broken, proceed as follows:

• Disconnect the lamp from the power supply.
• Avoid contact with skin and ventilate the room for 20-30 minutes.
• To eliminate contamination you have to wear disposable gloves. Collect all the parts of the lamp, possibly by sweeping. Use a damp paper towel to pick up small pieces and dust. For carpets, use a vacuum cleaner and then discard the vacuum cleaner bag.
• Collect the shards and lamp remains in a sealable container (for example a glass jar or plastic bag). Dispose the sealed container to a local collection point.

As lamp breakage can be avoided

• Replace the lamp until it has completely cooled down.
• Take the lamp always at the base, but not at the glass or the glass tubes.
• Take new lamps immediately before screwing / using out of the package.
• Store the lamp at a secure place or box.
