If the incubator is properly operated it will allow for high hatching rates of healthy chicks.
The mini incubator is designed for up to 24 eggs for various kinds of birds, e.g. chickens, quails or ducks. As different eggs have different temperature preferences and sizes, temperatures should be set accordingly. Also, due to the size of duck eggs the incubator can only hold 12. To get the best hatching results, these should be placed on the inner frame.
The eggs do not need to be turned by hand with this model, as the incubator automatically tilts them. In frequent durations, the eggs are tilted back and forth along their longitudinal axis. This movement simulates the natural turning motion of the hen, disabling the chicks from getting stuck to the embryonic membrane and thus dying. This is why turning the eggs is essential for a successful hatching process, 3 – 4 days before the chicks hatch, the automatic tilting process needs to be switched off, as the eggs are no longer allowed to be tilted to enable an easier hatching for the chicks.
Additionally, the mini incubator keeps track of the incubation time and temperature and it is equipped with two alarms, one signalling the if the heat is not as intended and the other alarm warns if the humidity is not as it should be.
Temperature and hatching time can all be programmed.
