For before doing a camping trip, one should in particular consider the weight of the equipment to be carried. With its 1.25 kg, this lightweight monodome tent is ideally suitable for trekking tours of several days’ duration. Thanks to its little pack size, it can be stowed away in a rucksack without wasting a lot of space. The tent is also an indispensable tool for bikepacking, which is becoming increasingly popular, as it allows you to experience nature particularly intensively.
However, the way that one sets up the tent is another important touchstone. This 2-person tent is simply set up using two flexible fibreglass bars. For transport needs, the bars are foldable. Guys and tent pegs increase the wind-safety.
The simple handling of these dome tents is the reason of their popularity with camping trippers, bicycle tourists, festival-goers, tent holidaymakers, and other travellers who wish to use the tent for sleeping.
The 200 x 120 cm large floor offers sufficient space for two adults and their equipment for several days. Moreover, thanks to its 100 cm height inside the tent, this allows its inhabitants to comfortably sit in an upright position.
The igloo tent is made of tear-resistant polyester coated with watertight PU. The wall of the tent is fixed to the floor pan; thus, no humidity can penetrate. The robust floor of the tent made of durable PE has a 400 mm water column (a value representing the watertightness). That is why our trekking tent is best suitable for camping under good weather conditions.
To avoid accumulation of condensed water inside, this monodome tent is provided with vent slots and a mesh entrance. At the same time, these mesh doors protect you from mosquitos/gnats and other unpleasant insects.
