Unique Koi is simply installed on the pond side or in any place where splash water does not cause any damage. Whenever an animal approaches the pond or the area to be protected, it is chased away by means of a short yet powerful jet of water.
To operate the device, you need a water connection or a water hose, respectively. Since the device is operated with a customary battery of 9 volts, there is no need of electricity. So the device is easily mounted within a short time and ready for use.
The infra-red sensor detects the animals because of the temperature difference in relation to the background area. Whenever a creature approaches the detected area the sensor is set into action and an electronic valve is opened. With a distance of up to 10 m, a strong jet of water splashes from the attached sprinkler, the duration of which doesn´t but take a couple of minutes. After a short time the sensor is ready to operate again, thus preventing the animals from getting used to the water. Moreover, there can be energy saved. The water consumption per load is about 2 or 3 cups of water and therefore economical.
It is recommended to have a water pressure of 3 to 8 bar in order to have an efficient operation.
The sensor is adjustable via a controller. The range of the sensor detection can be adjusted individually according to the local conditions. The range of the spray nozzles as well as the hight of the water jet can be adjusted. There can be protected an area of up to 130 m². But you may decide to even protect a larger area by operating several devices in a row.
The field of application includes the protection against cats, dogs and martens invading the terrace, the protection against herons on the pondside are other scenarios concerning disturbing creatures in the garden.
The garden detector can be operated all year round, however, in case of frost it should not be used.
