Czyszczenie i konserwacja:
Roczna konserwacja ogranicza się do kontroli mediów filtracyjnych i lampy UV. Lampa UV powinna być wymieniana co 6000–8000 godzin pracy. Optymalnie jest ją wymienić na początku sezonu stawowego, czyli na wiosnę. Filtry z gąbkami można czyścić przez manualne wypłukanie. Wystarczy zamienić wlot i wylot. Wodę używana do wypłukania można wykorzystać na przykład do nawadniania ogrodu.
Umieszczenie filtra zbiornika ciśnieniowego:
Filtr ciśnieniowy zostaje umieszczony na brzegu stawu i jest połączony z wodą stawu za pomocą odpowiedniej pompy (nie jest w zestawie, należy zwrócić uwagę na maksymalną wydajność objętościową pompy do stawu). Woda przepływa przez filtr zbiornika ciśnieniowego i jest oczyszczana za pomocą zintegrowanego oczyszczacza UV, a następnie wprowadzana z powrotem do stawu.
Jak działa:
Filtry do stawów łączą w sobie mechaniczne i biologiczne oczyszczanie. W materiałach filtracyjnych osiedlają się mikroorganizmy, które usuwają z wody bakterie i zarazki. Brud oraz cząstki unoszące się w wodzie zatrzymywane są przez mechaniczną filtrację w filtrze do oczka wodnego i nie dostają się z powrotem do wody w stawie. Trwa to około 4–6 tygodni, zanim bakterie filtrujące osiedlą się w wystarczającej ilości w filtrze stawowym. Dopiero po tym czasie warto włączyć oczyszczacz UV do stawu. Bakterie startowe pomagają skrócić fazę rozruchową nowego filtra stawowego. Są to specjalne mikroorganizmy hodowane w laboratorium, których dodanie skraca znacznie czas uruchamiania filtrów do stawów. Bakterie są aktywne przy temperaturze około 10–12 °C, temperatura w filtrze stawowym nie powinna przekraczać 40 °C, dlatego filtr stawowy powinien stać w cieniu i nie być narażony na bezpośrednie promienie słoneczne.
Oczyszczacze UV do stawów znacznie wspierają działanie filtrów stawowych. Oczyszczacz do oczka wodnego naświetla przepływającą wodę promieniowaniem UV-C. Oczyszczacze UV zmieniają trzeciorzędową i czwartorzędową strukturę białek glonów (białka alg), Oznacza to zabijanie alg. Algi zlepiają się w większe cząstki i można je łatwo usunąć z krążenia wody przez mechaniczne oczyszczanie filtra do stawu.
