For little explorers and adventurers it can be a different kind of sandbox. With our boat-shaped sandbox, young captains can set sail in their own garden. The sailing-ship effect is underlined by the flag at the back end of the sandbox.

The edge of the sandpit offers a place to put molds, buckets, and shovels, and the children can easily sit on them. Once the boat-shaped sandbox has been filled with sand, the little ones can dig and build to their heart’s content. When playing, they let their imagination run wild, and the children’s creativity is constantly stimulated. So they build up their own little world in the sand or find themselves with the entire boat on stormy seas.

As is a real boat, this boat-shaped sandpit is also made of wood. This makes it possible for you to paint the sandbox in your children’s favorite colour. Such a protective coating also increases the lifespan of this extraordinary sandpit.

The sandbox comes with a black fleece floor. Place this under the box so that water can drain downwards and at the same time the ground does not mix with the sand.

Amount of sand and digging depth:

The appropriate amount of sand can be calculated using the following formula:
Length inner dimension (m) x width inner dimension (m) x digging depth (m) = volume in cubic meters

A sandpit should not be filled to the top edge, otherwise the sand may overflow while playing. It is recommended to only fill the sandpit up to 5 cm below the top edge.
The ideal digging depth is influenced by factors such as the age of the child and the choice of toys. A digging depth of 10 cm to 15 cm is recommended for small children. However, if toys are used to build landscapes (e.g. excavators), a digging depth of 20 cm and more is recommended.

The following information is recommended for this sandbox:

15 cm digging depth = 0.14 m³
8 bags (approx. 25 kg per bag)

20 cm digging depth = 0.18 m³
10 bags (approx. 25 kg per bag)
