This stick welder is ideal for professionals and DIY experts. Stick welding machines can be found in workshops and outdoors, because they are easy to transport and can be used in almost any weather conditions.
In stick welding, a consumable rod electrode with flux coating serves as filler metall. This welding process is also called shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) or manual metal arc welding (MMA).
To strike an electric arc, the stick electrode must come into contact with the workpiece. The heat of the arc then causes the electrode and the parent metal to melt. The melting flux produces slag and shielding gases, which protect the weld pool from atmospheric contamination.
The welding machine comes with three functions, that simplify the operation. The Hot Start function initiates the electric arc while Arc Force keeps it stable. The Anti Stick function prevents the rod from sticking to the workpiece.
The light stick welder is equipped with a carrying strap and therefore particularly handy. This mobility increases the flexibility and allows for different welding positions. Even joints, that are difficult to access can be easily welded.
To operate the welding machine, you only need a welding power source. The MMA welder can be operated with electricity from a standard socket. The required current depends on the material and thickness of the workpiece. The welding machine is operated with electrodes from 1.6 to 3.2 mm and is therefore suitable for a sheet thickness of 1.5 to 3 mm.
The scope of delivery includes the most important equipment, e.g. earth clamp, ground cable and electrode holder with cable. A welding shield protects the eyes against harmful UV radiation. To remove the slag from the weld seam, a wire brush with chipping hammer is included as well.
The compact welding machine is easy to handle, offers high performance, a duty cycle of 35 % and modern IGBT technology. This makes our stick welder equally suitable for beginners and professionals.
